Contemporary literature

A holder of a PhD in Comparative Literature and a modern languages teacher, Pawel Hladki has built an international career spanning Poland, France, the United Kingdom, Germany and the United States. He studied at the University of Warsaw and Sorbonne Paris Cité University, and devoted his doctoral thesis to the relationship between social systems and fiction in the works of Michel Houellebecq and Jerzy Pilch.

As the recipient of a research grant from the French Ministry of Higher Education and a university teaching fellow, he taught English and narrative theory. He subsequently pursued a career in international education, particularly in the United Kingdom and Germany, teaching modern languages and Theory of Knowledge while also serving as an International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme Coordinator. He currently teaches in Clermont-Ferrand (France).

A polyglot and the author of academic publications and articles aimed at a wider audience, he is particularly interested in the connections between literature, sociology, psychology and the transformations shaping the contemporary world. This website is a natural extension of his journey: a space for analysis, knowledge-sharing and dialogue across languages, cultures and ideas.
